Medigap is a supplemental health insurance policy which extends the amount of health insurance for Medicare eligible recipients. A supplemental health plan is an additional Medicare plan on top of the Original Part A and Part B. Medigap is provided by private health insurance companies such as AARP-United Healthcare, Blue Cross-Blue Shield, Mutual of Omaha, Gerber, etc.. A supplemental or Medigap plan provides additional coverage to healthcare deficiencies that you may be exposed to under the Original Medicare Part A and Part B.
